Perhaps the greatest failing of the Jews – chronicled throughout the ages of the prophets until Christ – was their inability to be inwardly what they professed to be outwardly. So much time and effort was spent cleaning the “outside of the cup” while the inside remained unaffected by the power of God.
Fast-forward to our day. The spirit of religion is as prominent as ever, but when it comes to what the Lord is really after – a deep, inward change of heart – what are the results?
