March: The Game of Religion

True conversion takes place deep within the heart.  Because of what Christ has done for us, it changes our affections and re-orients the course of our entire life.  Not necessarily overnight, but the steadily and surely.  But our current age of instant results has generated an unprecedented level of fabricated conversions – people that claim something they have not fully experienced. Preachers more concerned with photo-ops and magazine write-ups. Remember Aesop’s fable, “The Emperor’s New Clothes”? What a perfect depiction of what passes for Christianity today.

Here, Brother Singh contrasts this form of religion with what the Bible teaches, looking at the Parable of the True Vine (John 15), and how Christ impacts our lifestyle on a daily basis (Ephesians 5).
